Trekking spre tabăra de bază Dhaulagiri

Horia a revenit în Katmandu pentru a pregăti ultimele detalii ale expediției. Aici s-a întâlnit și cu Marius Gane și Peter Hamor, sportivii alături de care va porni în expediția pe Dhaulagiri. Echipa și-a mai completat echipamentul și a pregătit bagajele pe care le vor căra catârii spre tabăra de bază Dhaulagiri.

Ne bucurăm de ultimele așezări și de facilitățile pe care le putem avea, o cafenea, o bere. Am terminat ultimele cumpărături, bagajele sunt pregătite, am profitat de ultimul jacuzzi în stil nepalez. Astăzi zburăm spre Pokara, iar mâine călătorim cinci ore cu mașina până în ultimul sat care are șosea, Darbang. Urmează cinci zile de trekking spre tabăra de bază.

Va urma o perioadă de aclimatizare, pentru ca organismul să se acomodeze cu altitudinea. La începutul lunii mai, Horia și colegii săi au planificat să înceapă ascensiunea și echiparea traseului cu tabere intermediare. Spre finalul lunii mai, când vremea va fi prielnică, vor porni spre vârf.

În 2019, are loc cea de-a 21a expediție internațională a lui Colibășanu şi cea de-a 16a în Himalaya.

Expediţia este un proiect al Clubului Sportiv Alternative Timișoara, club afiliat la Federația Română de Alpinism și Escaladă care derulează şi monitorizează proiecte de alpinism în calendarul sportiv internațional.
