Horia pleacă astăzi spre Everest. E în super formă!

Timișoreanul Horia Colibășanu pleacă vineri, 7 aprilie 2017, în Himalaya, pe Everest (8848m), în cea mai performantă expediție românească pe acest vârf, având în vedere că ascensiunea se va desfășura fără ajutor suplimentar (oxigen și șerpași).

Înainte de a pleca, sportivul de ultraperformanță a parcurs o serie de testări medicale monitorizate de medicul Claudiu Avram, cel care a realizat în ultimii ani testele de efort pentru Colibășanu. Rezultatele au arătat că starea fizică a timișoreanului este cu 25 la sută mai bună decât cea pe care a avut-o acum 2 ani.

“Mă simt foarte bine și a fost o veste extraordinară faptul că testele de efort confirmă că sunt în stare să urc pe Everest, cel mai sus, așa cum mi-am propus, fără oxigen, fără șerpași. Sunt pregătit de această expediție. Cu vreme bună pe munte, ascensiunea se va întâmpla așa cum am planificat-o împreună cu partenerul meu Ralf Dujmovits (55, DE). Am finalizat ultimele pregătiri în țară , mâncare, echipament, mă îndrept astăzi – 7 aprilie – spre Belgrad de unde voi zbura spre Kathmandu, via Abu Dhabi”, a declarat Horia Colibășanu.

Expediția în Himalaya se va derula în mai multe etape. La sosirea în Kathmandu, Colibășanu își va organiza echipamentul și logistica necesare pe munte. După câteva zile, va porni cu un avion spre Lhasa, locul de pornire spre munte, respectiv tabăra de bază (Base Camp – BC, 5000m). În tabăra de bază va avea loc prima fază de aclimatizare și instalarea corturilor pentru momentele de odihnă și refacere. După aproximativ o săptămână, Horia va urca în tabăra de bază avansată (Advanced Base Camp – ABC, 6400m) unde va sta cel mai mult pentru aclimatizare și antrenamente. Periodic, pentru refacerea organismului, va mai coborî în tabăra de bază. Ziua de vârf, în funcție de prognoza meteo, este programată în intervalul 18 – 22 mai 2017.

“Este una dintre cele mai importante expediții pentru mine. Îmi spunea un prieten că dacă urci pe K2 fără oxigen și șerpași – vârf urcat de Colibășanu în premieră națională –  Everestul este floare la ureche fără oxigen. O să văd ce îi spun acestui prieten când mă întorc”, a mai adăugat Colibășanu, apreciat ca fiind cel mai bun alpinist din istoria României.

Anul acesta, are loc cea de-a 19 expediție internațională a lui Colibășanu, Everest fiind al optulea vârf de peste opt mii de metri pe care sportivul dorește să îl aibă în palmares.

Horia Colibășanu este susținut pentru această expediție de Primăria Municipiului Timișoara, Timișoreana, Poka, Mercedes-Benz România, FAN Courier, AD Auto Total și Sanovita.

Ascensiunea pe Everest este un proiect al Clubului Sportiv Alternative Timișoara, în care Colibășanu are calitate de membru, afiliat la Federația Română de Alpinism și Escaladă care derulează proiecte de alpinism în calendarul sportiv internațional.
