Horia Colibășanu a dus steagul României pe Everest

Alpinistul Horia Colibășanu a dus steagul României în cel mai înalt loc de pe Pământ, în timpul ascensiunii sale pe vârful Himalayan Everest, care are 8848 de metri altitudine. Sportivul român este fericit că a reuşit să finalizeze cu succes expediţia pentru care s-a pregătit 3 ani şi jumătate, Everest fiind cel de-al 8-ulea vârf  în palmaresul de alpinist.

“Sunt mândru că am reuşit să ridic steagul României peste 8848 metri, înălţimea Everestului. Am ajuns în vârf, m-am aşezat pe coama Everest şi am făcut fotografia la care privesc cu multă bucurie. Momentul în care am ridicat tricolorul a fost cel în care am simţit că am reuşit să închei un proiect pentru care m-am pregătit foarte mult. Desigur că aveam să mai trec prin multe dificultăţi, la coborâre. Am fost însă pregătit pentru ele, ştiam ce mă aşteaptă, că va fi foarte greu”, a spus Horia Colibăşanu.

Alpinistul timişorean consideră că reuşita sa se datorează în mare măsură colaborării cu unul dintre cei mai buni meteorologi din lume, care i-a transmis date meteo precise, în funcţie de care a luat decizia de a pleca spre vârful Everest.

“În Himalaya, cel mai mult pentru reuşită contează vremea. Dacă este foarte frig, dacă bate vândul sau cantitatea de precipitaţii e mare, e foarte periculos şi nu poţi urca. Riscul este, bineînţeles, să nu te mai întorci. Eu a trebuit să renunţ într-un an la urcare din cauză că vremea nu a fost bună. Anul acesta am colaborat cu unul dintre cei mai buni meteorologi din lume, cred că e cel mai bun din Europa. Mi-a dat o prognoză foarte bună pe telefonul prin satelit şi am pornit spre vârf. De atunci şi până astăzi nu a mai fost o prognoză pentru o zi de vârf care să permită ascensiuni în stilul alpinismului pur, fără oxigen şi şerpaşi”, a declarat Colibăşanu.

A mai adăugat că următoarea provocare în Himalaya este deschiderea unei noi rute. “Îmi doresc să urc pe toate cele 14 vârfuri. Provocarea pentru mine va fi să deschid o rută nouă. Este un proiect pe care îl am demult în minte şi la care nu am renunţat”.

Anul acesta, a avut loc cea de-a 19a expediție internațională a lui Colibășanu şi cea de-a 14a în Himalaya.

Horia Colibășanu a fost susținut pentru această expediție de Timișoreana, Poka, Mercedes-Benz România, FAN Courier, AD Auto Total, Primăria Municipiului Timișoara și Sanovita.

Ascensiunea pe Everest este un proiect al Clubului Sportiv Alternative Timișoara, în care Colibășanu are calitate de membru, club afiliat la Federația Română de Alpinism și Escaladă care derulează proiecte de alpinism în calendarul sportiv internațional. De asemenea, Federația Română de Alpinism și Escaladă a susţinut proiectul expediției pe Everest.

Şi-au mai adus contribuția la expediție și: Vitas România, Kathrein România, partenerii de echipament: Marmot, S75.ro, Sport Guru, Suunto, GoPro, Deltatel, partenerii media: Radio România Timișoara și Radio RockFM.
